Apr 19, 2016 8:04:00 AM / by Local First

Whether you like electronic, folk, hip hop, blues or indie, the Local First Street Party has you covered. This year's lineup highlights a varied spectrum of Michigan's talented musicians. Performances include headliner Joshua Davis, a Traverse City native who placed third on The Voice in 2015. Street Party veterans the Crane Wives will return with indie folk harmonies and Tunde Olaniran will turn up the beat with his unique electronic R&B vibe. Triumph Music Acadmey will kick things off and indie folk artist Chris Bathgate, feel good hip hop from Lady Ace Boogie, and Mark Lavengood's Blue Grass Bonanza will keep the tunes coming all afternoon.

Audacious Hoops and 61Syx Teknique Street Dance Academy will return this year to entertain the crowd between music sets. The 13th annual Street Party will begin at 3 p.m. and run until midnight outside Bistro Bella Vita, 44 Grandville Ave. SW #100. The free, all-ages event showcases interactive dancing, sidewalk chalk and recycled art. Local food truck vendors and Founders beer will be available.
